Education Support Specialist

We are seeking an Education Support Specialist to join our team at Prospero Teaching. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people with complex needs.
About the Role:
- This Behavioural Support Worker position is available in Congleton, with a daily schedule from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
- The successful candidate will deliver person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health problems in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise in de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours.
- Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in youth work and related fields.
Requirements:
- At least two years of experience working with children and young people displaying challenging behaviour.
- A valid Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate or willingness to apply.
- Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
Salary and Benefits:
£2825,000 - £3132,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Please note that this salary range is an estimate based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
