Senior Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at one of our Residential Children's Homes in Manchester. Our client provides a caring and stable environment for young people aged 11-17, with a focus on medium to long-term residential care for those with challenging behaviour and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of residential support workers in providing high-quality care to young people
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the needs of each young person
  • Work closely with local authorities and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker in a residential children's home, specialising in EBD and young people with complex welfare histories
  • Experience of working with young people in a residential setting
  • Experience of supervising and supporting a team of staff
