Position:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester/SDET to join our team at Superstars.

Rate:

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive daily rate of £400 (Outside IR35).

Location Preference:

UK-based candidates are preferred, but we are open to remote work arrangements.

Years of Experience:

Applicants should have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in automation testing and a good understanding of technical knowledge including Cypress and Postman.

Requirement Fulfilment Date:

We are looking for candidates who can start immediately.

Contract Period:

The contract will be for 3-6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Work Model:

This is a hybrid role, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a small team to provide QA for agile sprints.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the development team to provide QA for agile sprints.
  2. Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression).
  3. Analyse business requirements to define test strategy.
  4. Create and verify defects in Jira, working with the development team to ensure an efficient resolution.
  5. Execute manual test runs and expand the TestRail test assets.
  6. Develop and expand the automated test cases.
  7. Provide documentation when required.
  8. Help troubleshoot issues.
Key Skills and Experience:
  1. Proven experience from a Dev background, preferably growing from Dev into Testing arena.
  2. Proven experience in an automation testing position.
  3. Experience of creating and maintaining automation frameworks (Cypress/ any other).
  4. Good knowledge of automated endpoint testing (ideally REST-assured framework).
  5. Good knowledge of performance testing (ideally Jmeter).
  6. Good knowledge using Postman tool old and new techniques.
  7. Good knowledge of BDD and TDD tools (ideally Cucumber).
  8. Ability to read and interpret code (Java Script/Java).
  9. JSON Knowledge.
  10. Experience of microservices testing.
  11. Knowledge of UX/UI tests.
  12. Experience of working in an Agile environment.
  13. Scrum background also relevant.
  14. Experience with ticketing and workflow systems (ideally JIRA, Confluence and TestRail).
  15. Basic SQL ability for querying and verifying data.
