Job Overview: We are looking for a Deep Sea Trawler Specialist to join our team on board our modern fleet of deep-sea factory trawlers. As a specialist in your field, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the complex mechanical systems onboard, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including the Baader fish processing machinery, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company policies.
  2. Collaborate with the Baader Technician to ensure seamless operation of the fish processing equipment.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Trade certified experience is preferred.
  • Experience in stainless steel TIG welding, basic hydraulics, and pneumatics is preferred, but training can be given.
  • A pre-employment medical, including dental, will be required.
  • Proof of New Zealand citizenship, permanent residence, or currently residing in New Zealand with a visa enabling you to work for a minimum of two years.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 NZD, based on experience.
