Job Overview:
To coordinate all planning activities related to manufacturing and supplying finished goods within a factory environment.
Developing information to support manufacturing systems and maintaining a positive relationship with customer supply chain.
Focusing on 100% service level across the customer base and minimizing waste.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Strive for 100% service level across the customer base.
  2. Maximize stock levels to ensure service levels.
  3. Establish, maintain, and encourage a positive relationship with customer supply chain.
  4. Maintain a flexible working pattern to fit within the business demands.
  5. Establish planning KPIs based around service level.
  6. Participate and drive the implementation of manufacturing systems.
  7. Optimize line performance and business profitability.
  8. Be proactive in driving system improvements.

Key Tasks:

  1. Obtain and utilize the latest customer forecasts.
  2. Participate in customer contact conference calls.
  3. Monitor work-in-progress and on-site finished goods stocks.
  4. Monitor finished goods stocks in 3rd party consolidators.
  5. Produce demand plans to hit service levels.
  6. Schedule bakery lines to maximize service levels.
  7. Regularly review manufacturing progress and adjust accordingly.
  8. Effectively communicate all planning activities to the business.
  9. Advise customer supply chain of any supply issues.

Requirements:
Experience of production planning in a high-risk food manufacturing business for at least 3-5 years. Ideally some bakery experience. Excellent IT skills and good standard of written and oral communication in English.
