Reception Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our team at an Outstanding School in Bromley. As a Reception Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our young students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality teaching and pastoral care to a class of Reception students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver the EYFS curriculum, focusing on individual learning targets and ensuring children make progress in their academic and personal development.
  • Support children in developing their English-speaking abilities, phonics, and mathematics skills, including recognizing numerals, counting objects to 10, and identifying 2D shapes.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting back to parents as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary school students, preferably in EYFS
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Good behavior management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Enhanced DBS check and professional references
