About the Role

We are seeking an ESG Sustainability Expert to join our team in London. As a key member of our infrastructure fund management team, you will play a crucial role in driving our ESG framework and ensuring that our investments align with our sustainability goals.

As an ESG Sustainability Expert, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of ESG & Safety in developing and implementing our ESG strategy. This will involve project managing the annual ESG data collection process across our portfolio, with a strong focus on data validation. You will also support investment teams with ESG/sustainability due diligence, including drafting scope of works for consultants, monitoring and reviewing their work, joining site visits, and drafting ESG sections of Investment Committee papers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the development and implementation of our ESG strategy
  • Project managing the annual ESG data collection process
  • Supporting investment teams with ESG/sustainability due diligence
  • Ensuring effective onboarding of new portfolio companies and staff to raise awareness about our ESG processes
  • Identifying and coordinating training needs for the wider firm and coaching sessions for portfolio management teams
  • Leading on specialist areas in ESG/sustainability such as climate risk, H&S, or social value

About You

We are looking for someone with a holistic understanding of ESG and sustainability. You should have the ability to maintain oversight over multiple working streams and prioritize accordingly. A desire to learn technical skills in a quickly evolving sector is essential. You should also have confidence in voicing opinions, finding solutions, and contributing to a team. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with data to communicate trends and messages are also required. Additionally, you should have technical knowledge of ESG issues.

The salary for this position is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
