Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Carpentry Focused Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Uxbridge, covering various locations across London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and surrounding areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced technician to work on a variety of maintenance tasks while providing top-notch customer service.
About the RoleThis exciting position involves working at various sites, performing carpentry tasks such as lock repairs, door closers, kitchen unit repairs, flooring and fence timber repairs, installations and refits, and conducting reactive and planned preventative maintenance work. You will also be responsible for carrying out fault-finding and leak investigations, managing larger projects, and procuring materials and equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of carpentry tasks, including lock repairs, door closers, kitchen unit repairs, and flooring and fence timber repairs.
- Conduct installations and refits, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance work, troubleshooting issues efficiently and effectively.
- Manage and oversee larger projects, coordinating resources and personnel as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with site managers, customers, and colleagues.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- A qualification in carpentry or a related trade (e.g., NVQ or CSCS Card).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a carpentry-focused maintenance role.
- Strong carpentry skills, with experience in other trades (plumbing, decorating, etc.).
- Excellent communication, timekeeping, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in carpentry, with good fault-finding and leak investigation skills.
- A competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).
