Support Vulnerable Children as a Mental Health Assistant

At Academics Ltd, we are passionate about providing high-quality education services that meet the unique needs of our students. We are currently seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join our team and support vulnerable children in their school environment.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact on young people's lives. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students' SEMH needs. You will also be responsible for assisting students with self-regulation activities and techniques, as well as supporting them with personal care when needed.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs
* Assist students with self-regulation activities and techniques
* Support students with personal care when needed
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students' SEMH needs

Requirements

* Strong understanding of SEMH needs and how to support students
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
