About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Crisis Practitioner to join our dynamic and supportive team. As a key member of our SET CAMHS crisis and therapeutic home treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and interventions to young people presenting with mental deterioration or crisis presentations.

Our team operates within the Thrive model, implementing collaborative care plans with community services and community SET CAMHS teams to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable young people and their families. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and treatment plans, and we are looking for a candidate who shares our passion for delivering evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and formulate care and treatment plans for young people experiencing mental health crises
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including DBT/CBT/Systemic & Creative therapies
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
  • Manage complex workloads and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care pathways and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counseling, psychotherapy)
  • Significant experience in mental health settings, including hospital and community environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively in highly emotive situations
  • Experience in formulating care and treatment plans
  • Flexibility to work within a service that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year
