Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced team leader to join our dynamic reception team. As Deputy Reception Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our reception area, supporting staff to deliver excellent patient care and promoting a positive working environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the current Reception Manager in arranging cover for sickness/annual leave periods and planning/implementing change
- Assist with staff induction and training, as well as supporting staff with difficult situations/patients when needed
- Lead by example and ensure we provide a quality patient-facing service, managing interactions with patients professionally, compassionately, and in line with practice standards
About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will be expected to multitask effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
Requirements
- Experience of managing staff in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Highly organized and able to maintain accurate records
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on feet
What We Offer
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including membership of the NHS pension scheme and access to a staff perks package.

This role is based in central Wimbledon, with excellent public transport links and a vibrant shopping district nearby. Our surgery is easily accessible by car, bike, or on foot, making it an ideal location for those looking to commute from surrounding areas.
