Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Conference and Events Assistant to join our team at King Street Townhouse Hotel. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional events and conferences that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare rooms for conference guests, including setup and testing of AV equipment.
  • Set up rooms for large events, including weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events.
  • Prepare equipment, tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, and glassware for upcoming events.
  • Manage inventory of conference supplies and maintain a high level of organization.
  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Take and deliver customer orders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Follow cash handling procedures and manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Up-sell with latest departmental incentives and strive to achieve departmental targets.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of food and beverage, with a focus on events and hospitality.
  • Great attitude towards work and colleagues, with a desire to learn new skills.
  • Experience working in a diverse environment, with good communication and team-working skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with good people skills.
