Job Description

Location: Manchester City Centre
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40-45 hours per week, variable shifts including evenings and weekends
Salary: Competitive, reflecting your skills and experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Conference and Events Coordinator to join us at King Street Townhouse Hotel. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standard of professionalism in all areas of operation and carrying out all duties to our world-class standards.

The hotel features a rooftop infinity spa pool with views of Manchester's iconic town hall. We are popular for christenings, wedding parties, anniversaries, and birthday celebrations, as well as corporate banquets and events.

Primary Role Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare rooms for conference guests, including placement of furniture, welcome packages, and AV equipment testing.
  2. Set up rooms for large events, such as weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events.
  3. Prepare table and room setups, including equipment, cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
  4. Manage inventory of conference supplies.
  5. Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner.
  6. Take and deliver customer orders, demonstrating high levels of customer service.
  7. Follow cash handling procedures.
  8. Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  9. Up-sell with latest departmental incentives.
  10. Ensure compliance with brand standards.
  11. Strive to achieve departmental targets.
  12. Ensure cleanliness of work areas.
  13. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
  14. Comply with local licensing laws.
  15. Assist other departments as needed and maintain good working relationships.
