About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, execution, and ongoing support of crucial regulatory projects across the organization. As a key advisor on laws and regulations related to payments, digital assets, and cryptocurrency, you will play an essential role in coordinating and supporting global, cross-functional legal initiatives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory and legislative matters, providing guidance across global teams.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of virtual currency statutes, rules and regulations, newly issued guidance, and proposed rulemaking that may affect Fireblocks or its customers.
  • Draft and advise on policies, processes, systems, and internal controls necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

As a Regulatory Counsel at Fireblocks, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-class team of experts dedicated to interpreting and shaping the evolving laws and regulations in the digital asset space. Requirements
  • Law degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a regulatory or policy role in the digital asset space.
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape for financial services in EMEA with an interest and/or experience in digital asset issues preferred
  • Demonstrated experience effectively engaging with regional capital markets and prudential regulators (e.g., FCA, VARA, HKMA, MAS, JFSA) and international standard-setting bodies
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to solve novel problems and provide effective advice in an uncertain regulatory environment

This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. The estimated annual salary for this position is around $150,000 based on industry standards.
