Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager / Quality Assurance Lead to join our team at AWD online. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring our final products meet compliance to legal standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective quality control processes to meet customer needs and requirements.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure continuous improvement through root cause analysis and 5 Why analysis.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines and legal obligations for products made and site health and safety policy.
- Supervise coordinators, inspectors, and technicians, providing guidance and feedback for quality improvement.
- Oversee trial product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis of products with scope.
- Submit detailed reports to appropriate managers and plant management.
- Ensure effective feedback to customers on complaints in a timely and effective manner, with all corrective actions completed in agreed timeframes.
- Continually support opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures to ensure quality compliance.
- Ensure all team members are trained to carry out their job role, working closely with department heads to ensure all team members are trained in quality compliance for their respective department.
- Work with regional quality to ensure corporate initiatives are adhered to and implemented.
- Extensive proven experience as a quality manager, ideally from a plastics manufacturing background.
- Conscientious and responsible with a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
- Excellent maths abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods and the ability to identify trends and react accordingly.
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant quality discipline is essential.
