Exciting Opportunity for IP Professionals

We are seeking a talented Trainee IP Assistant to join our dynamic team at Lifelancer, a leading talent-hiring platform in Life Sciences, Pharma and IT.

This is an excellent opportunity to start and develop your career in the intellectual property field, working closely with experienced professionals across multiple practice areas such as Biotechnology, Engineering, and Chemistry.

You will receive extensive training over a period of six to nine months, guided by seasoned experts in the field. After your training, you will support Fee Earners across the firm, taking on responsibilities such as handling formalities, managing correspondence, and liaising with clients and foreign agents.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with IP management and liaising with clients and foreign agents
  • Helping file and record assignments and legal documents, and managing signatures and notarisation
  • Supporting Fee Earners by coordinating the filing of applications (PCT, EP, Trade Marks)
  • Producing high-quality correspondence and reports for clients and patent/trade mark offices
  • Maintaining diary and reminder systems for Fee Earners, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assisting in maintaining client and case files within the document management system
  • Providing support in preparing estimates, managing invoices, and coordinating meetings

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role within a professional services firm
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and document management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Flexibility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
