Design Engineer

As a key member of the Fugro Design Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating engineering design tasks to meet client and company requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to design new or modified products and equipment, ensuring the company maintains its leading industry role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop technical solutions for client projects, collaborating with other discipline engineers, project managers, and the draughting team.
- Ensure compliance with departmental procedures and applicable codes and standards.
- Perform engineering design verification and validation through rigorous analysis, calculations, and the development of associated design documentation.
- Take ownership of the engineering design process for assigned projects, prioritizing health and safety, environmental protection, and adherence to engineering design processes.
- Provide technical support and liaise with workshop, procurement, and operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs and provide engineering solutions that meet their requirements.
- Contribute to commercial activities, such as providing input to tenders by reviewing scopes of work, creating concept designs, and preparing cost, time, and resource estimates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Intermediate experience in the technical discipline and foundation-level management experience.
- Proficiency in designing mechanical, hydraulic, and electric equipment and applying various engineering analysis techniques and calculations.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering disciplines related to the subsea or a related industry.
