Design Engineer

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Design Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in coordinating engineering design tasks to support client and company requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in designing new or modified products and equipment. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs of ROV intervention tooling and project-specific equipment, ensuring compliance with departmental procedures and applicable codes and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing engineering design verification and validation through rigorous analysis, calculations, and the development of associated design documentation.
- Collaborating with other discipline engineers, project managers, and the draughting team to design, develop, and deliver technical solutions globally.
- Providing technical support and liaising with workshop, procurement, and operational teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Interacting with clients to understand their needs and providing engineering solutions that meet their requirements.
