About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Manager to lead our fitness department and drive the success of our wellness programs. As a Fitness Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a team of fitness advisors and personal trainers, and developing innovative fitness programs that cater to our diverse membership base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the fitness department, ensuring an exceptional experience for all members.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of fitness advisors and personal trainers, driving the performance of KPIs.
  • Monitor the budget and review forecasted/spent amounts on freelance class instructors, adhering to specific fitness standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative fitness programs and classes that cater to a diverse membership base.
  • Conduct regular staff training and professional development to maintain high standards of service.
  • Lead group fitness classes and provide one-on-one training sessions.
  • Provide personalized fitness assessments and develop tailored workout plans for members.
  • Ensure the fitness area is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Stay updated with the latest fitness trends and techniques to provide cutting-edge advice.
  • Promote Bannatyne's services, special offers, and membership packages to enhance the member experience.
  • Monitor member satisfaction and address any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 Fitness qualified.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, along with experience of managing a team.
  • Good understanding of fitness technology and trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Genuine passion for health, wellness, and customer service.
  • Ability to establish rapport, build trust, and demonstrate credibility.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or equivalent Gym Instruction/Personal Training or Group Exercise qualified (including ETM, Spin, etc).
