**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Conversion Specialist to join our Production Team at McElmeel Mobility Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the conversion of standard vehicles into wheelchair-accessible vehicles, adhering to industry-leading standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Understand and execute the build process for wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions.
  • Modify and prepare vehicle floors for conversion.
  • Fabricate and install conversion and ramp systems.
  • Utilize hand tools, such as saws, grinders, and drills, effectively and efficiently.
  • Install wheelchair and passenger restraint systems.
  • Fit and wire additional accessories, including winches and side steps, as requested.
  • Build conversions according to the vehicle's build manual.
  • Identify and resolve problems that arise during the build process.
  • Develop solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to find solutions in challenging situations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
