Job Title: Part Time Head of Finance and HR

Harris Hill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part Time Head of Finance and HR to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a UK & International Outreach Charity and contribute to their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 6 personnel responsible for finance, human resources, personnel support, governance, assurance, and compliance.
  • Prepare and present management accounts, posting month-end journals, and ensuring bank and control account reconciliations are updated monthly.
  • Ensure financial filing systems and records are continually updated and appropriate evidence of financial controls is always available for audit.
  • Produce financial reports for preparation of final audited accounts in line with current SORP guidance and accountancy standards.
  • Oversee payroll and pension processing, coordinating the smooth operation of the monthly payroll with external bureaus.
  • Promote accounting concepts such as accurate classification of revenue, expenditure, accruals accounting, and materiality as part of an overall system of robust financial governance and budgetary control.
  • Maintain the Charity's Fixed Asset register.

Main Purposes of the Job:
