About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employability Coordinator to join our team at Cambridgeshire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in establishing a new supported employment cafe at Huntingdon Community Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas to attract and engage the community in the cafe
  • Create an inclusive and supportive environment for trainees to gain the skills required
  • Oversee the daily operation of the cafe, including the production of quality baked goods and the purchasing of required stock
  • Ensure individuals are working in a safe environment and meet the standards required of the Food Standard Agency
About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the success of the cafe, self-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative. You will have a blend of skills and qualities, including:

  • Experience in working in a cafe or similar setting, adapting processes and tasks for people with a learning disability and/or autism
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the adults we support, customers, and the local community
  • Confidently identify issues and find effective solutions quickly
  • Have an understanding and patience for individuals with diverse needs
