Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

A prestigious opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our esteemed mental health clinic in Leeds, West Yorkshire. As a leading healthcare provider, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment for professionals to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic reviews.
  • Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary team in assessing, formulating, and treating patients.
  • Participate in management meetings and clinical governance meetings to shape service strategy.
  • Offer supervision to junior medical staff and contribute to in-house training programs.
  • Maintain CPD and re-validation requirements as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to drive corporate decisions.
  • Have a deep understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health.
  • Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contemporary issues in mental health.
  • Have previous Consultant experience in a management role.
