Academic Support Professional

Are you passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Academic Support Professional to join our team at a prestigious mainstream secondary school in Richmond upon Thames.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Help students overcome barriers to learning and promote inclusion within the classroom.
- Support students with their academic progress, including homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and personal development.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to ensure the best support for students.
Requirements:
- Previous child-based experience.
- Possession of an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Genuine passion for working with young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
