Job Title: Database Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Technical Lead to join our Ocean Environment Team at ECO Magazine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical development of our Ocean Science disciplines, ensuring that we can fully exploit a complex and rapidly advancing field.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a marine environmental discipline, or related discipline, and will be committed to utilizing their expertise, currency, and credibility to ensure we deliver high-quality products and services to our defense users and allied partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive forward the technical development of specialist staff skills within the Ocean Environment Team.
  • Conduct research into new marine environmental data acquisition and analytical techniques.
  • Supervise Marine Environment related projects and programs.
  • Engage externally with Marine Environment experts, data suppliers, and potential partners/collaborators.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a marine environmental discipline, or related discipline.
  • Strong technical skills and expertise in marine environmental data analysis and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
