Financial Controller

At Alexandra Corke T/A Alban Recruitment Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of company finances, ensuring timely and accurate management reporting, and managing the finance department staff.
Main Objectives- Prepare and manage month-end accounts for UK, France, and Malaysian entities.
- Accurately and timely enter and process financial records, ensuring departmental safety, retention, and development of staff, and maximizing cash balance and availability.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts for UK, France, and Malaysia.
- Manage payroll and ensure all statutory submissions are entered on time and correctly.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the month-end process, including journals, prepayments, accruals, commission calculations, cashbook, fixed asset register, and stock and corporation tax.
- Maintain cashbooks and bank reconciliations, and raise non-AP and salary payments.
- Analyze P&L and Balance sheet variances.
- Reconcile Balance sheets.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Manage staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of all supplier and customer transactions for the UK, French, and Malaysian entities.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for UK, France, and Malaysia.
- Manage monthly payroll calculations and entry for UK.
- Ensure all statutory records and payments are up to date.
- Calculate and submit quarterly VAT for UK.
- Administer monthly French VAT.
- Prepare annual audit information.
- File annual returns, including PAYE and P11d's.
Review and monitor skills matrices in the Finance area, review training records, and areas for skills improvement. Operate a system of appraisals and feedback, and encourage and motivate staff to achieve high service levels and promote continuous improvement.
Salary: Up to £46,000
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with flexi-time
