About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health problems, learning disabilities, and/or dementia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with service users
  • Support individuals to identify their own goals and contribute to their care plans
  • Assist with activities of daily living and promote independence
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including service users, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting dignity and respect for all

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and understanding of mental health problems, learning disabilities, and/or dementia
  • Ability to build and sustain positive therapeutic relationships and demonstrate an understanding of Person Centred Approaches and Values
  • Effective communication, documentation, and listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
