Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Blackburn, UK. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical switchgear and associated products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical switchgear and associated products
  • Liaise with the sales team to understand client specifications and requirements
  • Ensure drawings issued are controlled, accurate, and easy to follow
  • Aid the sales team in resolving problems with new and existing product designs
  • Liaise with 2D and 3D designers to ensure the library is accurate
  • Utilize AutoCAD to add tags to existing drawings

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment (electrical) will be considered in lieu of a third-level qualification
  • A solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Understanding of electrical engineering drawings such as single-line diagrams and schematics is advantageous
