About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our Medical Retina team as a Medical Retina Nurse Injector Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with retinal conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with retinal conditions, including intravitreal injections and other medical procedures.
  • Work autonomously and make critical clinical decisions based on advanced clinical skills and assessment.
  • Manage a caseload of patients and lead on the provision of evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with the multi-professional team to establish diagnosis and monitor disease progression in patients with Medical Retina conditions.
  • Be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of high standards of nursing care.
Requirements
  • Level 1 Registered Nurse (Adult) or HCPC recognised Orthoptic degree or diploma or GOC recognised Optometry degree.
  • Intravitreal injection course.
  • Experience of working as a nurse practitioner/specialist, Orthoptist or Optometrist.
  • Managing own cohort of patients nurse led clinics/extended roles.
  • Experience in delivering evidence-based practice.
