Electrical Systems Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Design Specialist to join our team in Colchester. As an Electrical Systems Design Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the design and testing of new X-Ray and Bond Test products, as well as maintaining existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and layout of electrical support systems for X-Ray and Bond Test machinery
  • Design and documentation of electrical panels, PCBs, and general machine wiring
  • Basic mechanical design for electro-mechanical elements of machines
  • Practical electrical and electronic prototyping
  • Specification, documentation, and management of electrical bills of materials

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience (5+ years) of designing Electronic/Electrical Systems in an industrial setting
  • Extensive experience of designing electrical panels for industrial systems (Circuit breakers, contactors, etc.)
  • CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD, Inventor, Cadstar)
