About this role:

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join their team in Staffordshire. As a UK National or UK Citizen, you must not have lived outside of the UK in the last 5 years for Security Clearance purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design electrical panels containing PLC's and LV distribution systems.
  2. Develop electrical cabling and containment systems.
  3. Hold a degree in a relevant subject or HND with additional experience in project implementation.
  4. Have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
  5. Achieve security clearance to at least SC level, and possibly DV.
  6. Communicate effectively as a client contact and mentor.
  7. Mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
  8. Understand related safety and environmental legislation.
  9. Develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations.
  10. Have a thorough understanding of BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  11. Understand IEC BS EN Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
  12. Work confidently in a multidisciplinary design team.
  13. Collaborate with production to see designs through to completion.
Desirable Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
  2. Understanding of EMC practices.
  3. Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
  4. MEng qualification.
  5. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
  6. Site experience (survey/install).
