Aviva is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in York. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting support to the Aviva Group.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver best-in-class financial reporting support to the Aviva Group. You will work closely with our business stakeholders to understand their financial reporting needs and provide expert advice on financial accounting and reporting matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical accounting papers to support quarterly reporting cycles and ad-hoc transactions.
- Manage effective planning to facilitate key deliverables to various timescales.
- Develop subject matter expert skills with opportunities to develop task manager skills.
- Contribute to updates to Group IFRS accounting policy and the Group Reporting Manuals.
Requirements
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong financial reporting skills and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
