We are seeking a skilled engineering professional to join our expert team at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), carrying out advanced mechanical engineering design and simulation tasks. This role is crucial to the development of cutting-edge technologies critical to the success of nuclear fusion energy.

Your expertise will contribute to shaping the future of energy by applying classical methods and cutting-edge calculation tools to evaluate and develop design concepts. You will create and enhance FE models of components, complex multi-body assemblies, and coupled multi-physics systems.

You will write, test, and validate analysis code modules to expand simulation capabilities. Your strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and multi-physics simulations will be essential in this role. In addition, you will lead high-impact projects, guide teams, and access state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge tools.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineering Analyst to play a pivotal role in advancing nuclear fusion energy. We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in engineering analysis or design roles.
Technical Expertise:
  • Proven expertise in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and multi-physics simulations.
Soft Skills:
  • Effective leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams in high-impact projects.
