About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our Projects Division, you will be responsible for promoting best practice and ensuring the successful delivery of Mechanical Contracts for clients across various sectors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage, monitor, and deliver Mechanical Contracts for clients in commercial, education, healthcare, leisure, and large-scale residential sectors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out to a high standard, with project-specific RAMS and site safety plans in place.
  • Assist with procurement and ordering of key materials and appointments of subcontract supply chain, ensuring specifications and drawing requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, ensuring all works are programmed and completed in a professional and controlled manner.
  • Provide technical support to customers and team members.
  • Attend regular main contractor design, technical, and progress meetings, and assist in closing out associated action points.
  • Manage in-house and subcontract labour resources, ensuring quality of work and compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all engineers are up to date with current regulations and training.
  • Accurately monitor and cost contract change instructions/variations, and issue interim valuation claims in line with works completed on site.
Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience in a Mechanical Supervisor/Management role or a qualified Plumbing/Heating Engineer with experience working on major projects.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to a plan to avoid disappointments.
  • Good interpersonal skills to create meaningful reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients.
  • Commercially aware of costs and trends in the marketplace.
  • Good knowledge of safety, health, environment, and quality systems.
