About the Role

Gemini Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Public Law Paralegal to join our client's Public Law Department. As a Public Law Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting with casework, including dealing with a range of Public Law matters, and providing exceptional client care skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with Public Law matters, and provide exceptional client care skills.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
  • Deal with correspondence, prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, and prepare draft documents, including witness statements and processing evidence.
  • Prepare applications, including drafting application forms, indexes of documents, and letters of representation.
  • Attend conferences and court, maintain accurate time costing procedures, and implement recommendations made by your supervisor.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Immigration Accreditation preferred.
  • Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of LAA funded Public Law.
  • A strong academic background with a Law degree.
  • Legal experience as a Public Law Paralegal/Advisor.
  • Clear understanding and application of Public Law.
  • Business acumen and the ability to market the Company.
  • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance.
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
