Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Catering Engineer to join our team at JLB Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of commercial catering equipment in various settings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Customer Visits: Plan and execute work activities to maximize customer visits at suitable times, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
  2. Communication: Develop effective communication skills to interact with customers and employer's staff, fostering strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and legible documentation, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  4. Catering Equipment Knowledge: Continuously develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of commercial catering equipment principles, fault rectification, and maintenance procedures.
  5. Technical Resources: Stay up-to-date with the latest technical information and resources for catering equipment manufacturers' products, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain awareness of applicable regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry best practices.
  7. Fault Finding: Develop and maintain expertise in fault finding procedures, enabling swift and effective resolution of equipment issues.
  8. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on catering equipment, adhering to manufacturers' instructions and company standards.
  9. Installation: Install equipment in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  10. Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by assessing risks and taking necessary actions to minimize them, adhering to company health and safety policies.
  11. Accreditation and Registration: Maintain necessary accreditations and registration with Gas Safe Register, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  12. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all tools and test equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and stored, adhering to company standards.
  13. Training and Development: Participate in training courses as directed, enhancing skills and knowledge to meet evolving industry demands.
  14. Van Stock and Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain van stock and ensure company vehicles are kept in clean and roadworthy condition, adhering to company policies.
  15. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Service Manager, ensuring seamless team operation and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Electrical Competency: Proof of electrical competency is required.
  2. ACS Accreditations: Hold ACS accreditations, including CCCN1 or CODC1, Comcats 1, 2, 3.
  3. Clean Driving License: Possess a clean driving license for private/light goods vehicles.
