As a key member of the global electronics manufacturer's compliance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and ongoing management of compliance processes and legal requirements.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of safety regulations, particularly in relation to electronics, and experience within a quality assurance, product approval/compliance environment. They will be familiar with product compliance, particularly in relation to electronics/electro-mechanical systems, and able to oversee testing and ensure compliance in line with UL standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain internal compliance database, ensuring all necessary reporting is completed and communicated.
  • Act as the technical authority for legal and product safety compliance.
  • Oversee compliance for development and testing of new and existing products.
  • Assist through the design, prototype, manufacturing, and delivery phases, ensuring compliance requirements are met throughout.
  • Be the point of contact for external inspection and approvals, enacting corrective actions on any non-compliance issues.
  • Oversee internal compliance audits of all procedures, documentation, and practices.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, particularly in relation to electronics with regards to the UK, EU, and USA.
  • Familiarity with product compliance, particularly in relation to electronics/electro-mechanical systems.
  • Able to oversee testing and ensure compliance in line with UL standards.
  • Previous experience within a quality assurance, product approval/compliance environment.
  • Familiarity with electronics regulations such as RoHS, REACH, and compliance testing such as EMC.
