Autism Mentor

We are looking for a dedicated Autism Mentor to join our team at Long Term Futures Ltd. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will work closely with the teaching staff and other professionals to ensure the pupil's academic and social progress in a welcoming mainstream primary school in Coventry.
This is a long-term position with excellent potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be responsible for providing tailored support to a pupil with Autism, helping them thrive in both academic and social environments. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or an equivalent, experience supporting SEN pupils in an educational setting, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to a pupil with Autism in a mainstream primary school setting
• Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure the pupil's academic and social progress
• Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil's learning and behaviour
Benefits:
£90 - £105 per day
Requirements:
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or an equivalent
• Experience supporting SEN pupils in an educational setting
• Exceptional communication skills, including non-verbal techniques such as Makaton or PECS
