About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our team at Polaris Community, a leading provider of children's services. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support foster parents to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they meet the high standards expected by our agency.
  • Provide regular supervision to foster parents, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with our experienced team to ensure that children and young people receive the best possible care and support.

Requirements:

  • Professional registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to travel to visit foster parents and children, with a full driving licence.
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
