Job Title: Supervising Social Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and monitor the continued suitability and competence of Foster parents.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • Ensure that foster parents fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved, and the standards expected.
  • Support foster parents to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and learning environment for children/young people.
Requirements:
  • Professional registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Proven ability to produce a high standard of report writing.
  • A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • The willingness and ability to travel to visit foster parents and children.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
