Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Operations Supervisor to join our team at OBM People. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our quayside activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive supervision for personnel and quayside activities, ensuring safe systems of work are in place and effective in accordance with legislation and company procedures.
  • Direct supervision and control of all operational activity, third parties, contractors, and visitors on the allocated quayside(s).
  • Ensure proficiency in the navigation of the relevant sections of our Client's Integrated Logistics Management System (iLMS), including staying up-to-date with publications and associated revisions.
  • Control our Client's owned lifting equipment, including managing maintenance and inspection, and applying our Client's colour codes.
  • Verify operator, crane, and lifting equipment certification are valid for hired mobile cranes and operators on site.
  • Accurately capture lift data (number of lifts, weights) for billing purposes.
  • Participate in the SID process and implementation of corrective actions for non-compliance.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with Management, Peers, Clients, Contractors, and Visitors, demonstrating a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Ensure personnel have the required information, instruction, and training for effective application of Procedures, Risk Assessments, Permits to Work, and Lift Plans.
  • Raise our Client's AIR, LSI, and SID documentation, and advise our Client's Management as necessary.
  • Ensure correct use of Cranes, Forklifts, and Lifting equipment in accordance with legislative and procedural policy.
  • Manage quayside staff, including return to work meetings, staff welfare promotion, staff performance development meetings, and company participation.
