Job Title: Drainage & Infrastructure Design Engineer

We are partnering with a leading business to search for a knowledgeable Drainage & Infrastructure Design Engineer to join their team operating in the Basingstoke area.

About the Role:

This business has been seeing an increased level of success and workload over the last few years, leading to sustained growth within the market.

The position holder within this role will be collaborating cross-functionally with a range of engineers and technicians to deliver engineering designs for large and small projects.

The business has stated that there is scope for this role to have an entire team built around it, with the position holder at the helm of this development in the future, making this an exciting opportunity to explore.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project workload to meet deadlines
  • Work as part of a wider team to deliver items, develop solutions for sectional applications including S106, S185, S278 & EA applications and provide support for junior members of the team
  • Design private drainage networks
  • Utilize Civils 3D, Micro Drainage or PDS/Causeway flow software to handle design work
  • Use AutoCAD to prepare layouts alongside the technicians
  • Prepare documentation and FRAs to support planning applications
  • Review and approve designs done by others, as well as designing civil engineering schemes
  • Communicate with clients regarding the scope of the project
  • Undertake site surveys, inspections and prepare reports
  • Prepare tenders and fee proposals
Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Civil Engineering degree or be fully or partly chartered as well as significant post-graduate experience, of at least 4 years.

Applicants should have previous relevant experience within a comparable role handling design engineering responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills are also required for this role.

All applicants should hold a full UK driving license.
