Technical Director General Engineering Position

  • As a Technical Director General Engineering, you will be part of the Product and Technology organisation, working across squads as projects require it.
  • Your experience and skills will be used in high-impact projects helping set technical direction, including in initial design, development, or in accelerating delivery of teams.
  • You will be responsible for leading or facilitating the design of technical solutions for projects you are involved with.
  • You will collaborate with team members, helping to provide guidance and mentorship.
  • You may also be required to lead and implement projects as an individual.
  • You will collaborate with peers in senior architectural positions to help design a joined-up end-to-end platform, deploying engineering best practices and encouraging others to do so.
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate product and sales requirements into a technical roadmap.
  • Lead the creation of technology improvements that improve the quality of products in their area of concern.
  • Mentor more junior members of the team.
  • Evaluate solutions to determine the best paths forward.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, from junior engineers to non-technical domain experts.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of professional engineering experience as an individual contributor, with at least 2 years as a staff engineer.
  • Extensive experience in systems design of big data ETL pipelines using cloud-based architectures such as AWS, GCP.

This will be a key individual contributor role working closely with our VP of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer.
