Job Overview

We are seeking a Trainee Health Screener to join our team in Coventry. As a screener, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and attention. You will work closely with our experienced team members to learn the skills and knowledge required to complete your Health Screener Diploma.

Key Responsibilities

">

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Ensuring patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout the screening process">
  • Undertaking the screening Checklist to ensure the screening environment is safe for both yourself and your patients">
  • Basic maintenance of the camera and equipment to enable the best possible images to be taken">
  • Safely administering eye drops to enlarge pupils and undertaking photographs to ensure correct field of view">
  • Identifying any patients requiring urgent onward referral at the time of their screening appointment">
  • Maintaining a sufficient stock of consumables to run your clinic">

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients' needs">
  • The ability to travel to our screening services in the Coventry area">
  • Good communication skills and the ability to remain composed when taking detailed/up close pictures of the eye">
  • Adaptability and the ability to think quickly and resolve problems">
  • Flexibility in your working week, including occasional evening and weekend work">
  • A commitment to completing your Health Screener Diploma within the required timescale">
  • A full driving license and access to a car for travel to and from clinics">
