Character Animation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Character TD to join our team at DNEG, a world-leading visual effects and animation company. As a Character TD, you will be responsible for creating animation rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles, working closely with our Rigging Supervisors and Animation Leads/Supervisors to develop the most suitable rigging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Create high-quality animation rigs for characters, creatures, props, and vehicles
* Collaborate with Rigging Supervisors and Animation Leads/Supervisors to develop rigging solutions
* Implement proprietary tools to aid in creating animation rigs
* Work in a team environment to achieve project goals
Requirements
* Proven years of experience with significant creature/character projects
* Thorough knowledge of character specialization (i.e., body, face, mechanical rigs)
* Full working knowledge of Maya
* Strong visual and artistic skills
* Familiarity with pipeline issues and a typical character/creature-heavy post-production environment
* Extensive understanding of human and animal anatomy
* Understanding of the fundamental laws of physics
* Proficiency in mathematics (linear algebra)
* Fundamental animation knowledge
