Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Development: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with our IT Development teams and Production DBAs to troubleshoot and resolve issues with our production systems.
  • Infrastructure Support: You will provide technical support for our infrastructure and architecture team, ensuring our SQL systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Security and Compliance: You will be responsible for enforcing group security controls and best practices, ensuring our data is secure and compliant with industry regulations.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: You will document and implement all SQL configuration changes, ensuring our team has access to accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: You will have excellent knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Development best practices, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Microsoft SQL Server: You will have a strong working knowledge of the full Microsoft SQL Server stack (SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS).
  • Automation and Deployment: You will have experience with automation deployment tools such as Azure DevOps and OctopusDeploy.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: You will have knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-on, HADR environment.
