About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Planner to join our team at SSE, a leading energy company in the UK. As a Commercial Planner, you will play a critical role in planning and managing projects within our Transmission business, ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, including producing and managing programmes, to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Program Management: Provide planning support across the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Client Relationship Management: Liaise with project teams, contractors, site management, and commercial teams to effectively report on project progress and provide regular updates to clients.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze large-scale contractor programmes to ensure the integrity and quality of plans meet NEC3 standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience using Primavera P6 on large capital projects is essential.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of Standard Microsoft 365 Office Suite and desirable awareness of NEC3 Contract management.
  • Travel: The successful candidate will be required to travel between different SSE offices/project sites, with occasional overnight stays, therefore a driving license is required.
