Early Years Leader Job Description

At Ultimate Activity Camps, we're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Leader to join our team at Handcross Park School in Haywards Heath. As an Early Years Leader, you'll play a vital role in delivering a fun and engaging programme for our Ultimate Activity Juniors, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of a high-quality Early Years programme, adhering to EYFS requirements and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all children.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sports, arts, and crafts activities, tailored to the needs and abilities of our 4- and 5-year-old campers.
  • Direct and support a small team of Early Years staff, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Ensure Ofsted requirements are met, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Manage administrative duties, including sign-in/out, registration, and other tasks as required.
  • Liaise with the Camp Manager to promote the welfare of children in your care, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
Requirements:
  • Educated to a minimum of Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education, with significant experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality activities, adapting to the needs and abilities of children.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its application in a camp setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to child safety and well-being.
