Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trust Grade Registrar to join our team in Geriatric Medicine. This is a 12-month post that offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical services in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes and improve patient experience.
  • Participating in audit and service improvement projects to enhance the post holder's CV and contribute to the development of the department.
  • Developing and maintaining expertise in the identification and management of complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans and strategies.
  • Contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Participating in educational and training activities to enhance professional development and contribute to the development of the department.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • GMC registration with Licence to Practice.
  • Full MRCP.
  • Full ALS.
  • Good and wide-ranging recent experience of clinical medicine in an acute inpatient setting in a large acute hospital.
  • At least 12 months UK experience at Registrar level.
  • Geriatric experience at at least foundation and CT level.
