Job Title: Regional Environmental Education Coordinator

Join the TREE COUNCIL team as a Regional Environmental Education Coordinator for the Young Tree Champions programme. This exciting opportunity will see you working with schools across the region to deliver high-quality environmental education and inspire the next generation of nature lovers.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the delivery of the Young Tree Champions programme in their region. As a Regional Environmental Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Recruiting new schools and working with existing Beacon schools to deliver the programme
  • Training teachers to effectively plan and deliver tree and nature-related planting sessions
  • Engaging the wider school community in developing the school's outdoor curriculum and Young Tree Champion project
  • Delivering pupil workshops and developing teaching resources to support the programme
  • Evaluating the impact of the programme and working with the team to align with wider TREE COUNCIL initiatives
About You:

We are looking for someone with a passion for environmental education and a proven track record of working with schools. You will have excellent organisational skills, be a strong communicator, and be able to work collaboratively with multiple partners. You will also have experience of teaching in schools or an informal environmental setting and be familiar with the complex demands placed on teachers and schools.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be required to travel to visit schools across your region. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, we would love to hear from you.
